Spring Update

Thanks for visiting Cakes By Jill.  I’m on a maternity leave at the moment and am taking a break from cake-making.  I hope to be creating more frozen goodness by this coming July or August 2013.  Please check back then!

Hello Vegan Ice Cream Cake Fans,

Thank you for an awesome first year!  We’ve been busy throughout this holiday season, preparing frozen goodies for all kinds of festivities.  We are slowly changing things around for 2012.  Some changes you’ll notice include some price and size differences, and new flavour combinations! I’ll try to get some new photo’s up soon!

All of these changes will be taking place throughout the month of January while we take a mini vacation.  We’ll be back in a few weeks ready for more orders.  Until then, keep checking back for updates.

Cakes By Jill is an online shop with one mission- to bring handmade and natural non-dairy ice cream cakes, ice cream, and frozen novelties to the good people of Toronto.  

What do we mean by handmade? It means that we take the time to lovingly create our ice cream, cakes, crusts and toppings by hand. We don’t cut corners, use artificial flavours or substitute ingredients to save time.  We think the process of creating something from scratch is key to offering a truly superior product. Each and every one of our frozen delights is a unique creation, enjoying the subtle differences that are only found in food that is handmade. We’re proud to offer a little slice of hand-crafted love to all of our customers.

Our Story

Jill is a passionate ice cream lover who also happens to be vegan. Growing  increasingly concerned over the amount of highly processed vegan foods being marketed as “healthy choices”, and the lack of wholesome alternatives to her favourite treat, she decided to take matters into her own hands.  She began making her own ice creams in 2009.  After encouragement from friends and family, she decided to share her creamy gifts with the rest of her beloved city. Cakes By Jill was launched in the summer of 2010.
